What is Mosaickr?

Mosaickr is an online service that allows you to create mosaic images from your private and public available photos in Flickr.

Is Mosaickr for free?

Your mosaics will be available for free at low resolution. You can download a high resolution mosaic for a small fee or print it using one of our affiliated poster services.

Do I need a Flickr Account?

Yes, you do need a Flickr Account. Your master image and tiles are all fetched from Flickr. Flickr provides great uploading tools. In addition you have access to other people's photos.

How do I get the best results?

Choose large as Mosaic parameter. Add the maximum amount of images as tiles and ensure that the images contain the color variation of the master. As master use images that contain large structures. Portrait shots of persons give generally very good results.

What about privacy?

See our privacy policy. You can only use your own Flickr images as well as public images that are tagged with the creative commons attribution license. Your mosaics are not public.

How many mosaics can I create?

There is currently no limit on the amount of mosaics that you can create. However, we reserve the right to add a limit in future.

Can I upload images directly to mosaickr?

No, Mosaickr does not allow uploading images. However, you can upload images into your Flickr account and then use in Mosaickr.

Can I use any image for the mosaics?

No, you can only use images of your private photo collection and publically available photos in Flickr that are tagged with the Creative Commons Attribution license.

Why can I only use Flickr images?

Mosaickr currently only supports Flickr, but other photo collection services may be added in future.
